Cervical
Screening
People registered as female are
invited for cervical screening every 3
years from the age of 25 to 49 and
every 5 years from the ages of 50 to
64.
People who are over 65 who haven't
been screened since age 50 or those
who have recently had abnormal
tests are also invited.
If you are registered with a GP as
male, you will not be invited for
cervical screening.
If you have not had a total
hysterectomy and still have a cervix,
you should still consider having
cervical screening.
If you are assigned male at birth, you
will not need a cervical screening.
